Be Sure To Insure Valuable Holiday Gifts…
 It’s the most wonderful time of year for receiving those extra-special gifts! Newly acquired valuables such as diamonds rings and other fine jewelry, as well as golf carts, ATV’s antiques, artwork, and collectibles may need to be scheduled to existing policies to properly insure against loss. Remember to ask your Personal Lines Account Manager at HBB about adequate coverage for your new prized possessions as soon as possible.
Timely Holiday Safety Tips
Some reminders to keep you and your home safe during the holidays and this winter.
Prevent fires during the holidays by: 1)Turning off decorative lights when no one is home and before going to sleep. 2) Being ultra-cautious when using candles or by choosing flameless candles instead. 3) Keeping Christmas trees well-watered and away from radiators, fireplaces and other heat sources.
Keep pipes from freezing and bursting by: 1) Turning off outdoor faucets and disconnecting hoses. 2) Wrapping pipes in crawl spaces and along outside walls in insulation. 3) Letting a trickle of warm water flow through facuets on outside walls.

(MIRCI ) is a non-profit in the Midlands of SC dedicated to helping individuals with mental illness by providing services such as housing, treatment and financial management on their path to recovery. Volunteering at this year’s Thanksgiving dinner for MIRCI clients, were HBB’s Tom Bates and daughter, Bladen, at the invitation of Tom’s sister, Liz B. Norris, MIRCI Director of Operations. Says Tom, "Taking part and observing just how the efforts of MIRCI has changed lives, wasn’t work, it was a privilege."
